Passion Fuels Purpose!
BIOGRAPHY
Hi, I'm Samin, a soon-to-be graduate from Western Michigan University in my senior year, where I am majoring in Computer Sciencea and minoring in Business Analytics and supply chain management. My interest in tech has always leaned towards UI/UX design, web development, and the world of data analysis. These paths have shaped not only my academic career but defined my project involvement as well. On that note, I was a Data Analyst on the Rohingya Project through PHD, as well as lead in evaluating local non-profits for the WMU Evaluation Center. With 5 years of experience in the field. I am always looking for new and innovative ways to bring my clients' visions to life.
I believe that design is about more than just making things look pretty – it's about solving problems and creating intuitive, enjoyable experiences for users.
My academic career has been very fulfilling, rounded out by receiving the Haenicke Institute 100% Academic Scholarship and a second-place finish at an Algorithm Competition. I continued to work on my leadership roles as captain of the high school soccer team and transformed that into my team-driven motivation and dedication to honing my skills while I continued to be a part of the Lee Honors College and became a Senior Member of BSA at WMU. Sports Analytics has always been a passion of mine, stemming from my love of sports and my analytical skills. In the future, I'd love to transform my passion into a career as a data analyst for a sports team.
That is a small snapshot so far, and I'm excited to keep exploring opportunities moving forward, especially in Sports Analytics!
